I have a PS3 that upscales and on an HDTV the difference is very very noticable between upscale and blu ray.

This conversation has been bought up before but on my setup there's not a great deal of difference between an upscaled DVD on my high spec Pioneer DVD player and a Blu-Ray on my PS3, all through a top spec Pioneer Kuro 8th Gen Plasma.  Sky HD on the other hand is very impressive, in theory it should be slightly worse than Blu-Ray so this tells me that my Hi-Fi expert wasn't lying when he told me the Blu-Ray player in the PS3 isn't very good!  Head v Brick Wall  I must upgrade to a proper Pioneer Blu-Ray player one day.  Smiley

Thats interesting, Ive not seen SkyHD on a Plasma before, but i had heard it was good  Cool. Does your TV support the 24p setting as this is supposed to impove the frame rate significantly? oh yea and .... Hijacked Thread LOL
