Been working hard...
«
on:
June 26, 2008, 09:24:28 PM »
I've pulled my finger out and finally gotten around to making the rsnorfolk website a little better - I just wasn't entirely happy with it last year, and didn't pay it enough attention. I did a bit of ferreting about for ideas and got to work - by the way, the Isle of White's site is pretty slick...some of the others aren't...
If you want to see what I've done, check out
www.rsnorfolk.co.uk
if you haven't already.
I've done a few more pages, I'll be tidying up the 'meet the members' area, for which I'd like a mugshot from as many of you as possible, so that it at least LOOKS like we have more than four members
, or at least a picture of you in your car (RS or not). This will be accompanied by a little bio, along the lines of
"This is Steve, he's had more RSs in the last year than I've had hot dinners. He's been a Norfolk RS regular for x years now, and currently he's driving around in his ST200, at least until 'turbo fever' sets in..."
"This is Churchy, and is my competition for the title of "Life of the Party". He has a 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth that has a misfire...well, that's his excuse anyway."
"This is our chairman Mike Rainbird. He's well known on passionford, and indeed everywhere Ford, for having an Escort Cosworth that does more miles on the back of a truck than on the road."
etc etc....
Thanks people.

Chris, there are loads of pics of my car on here, complete with graphs
And if you don't mind, I'd rather not have my picture on here warning everyone "THIS IS CHURCHY", I like to keep an air of mystery, and if anyone asks "whose that prick called Churchy", I can point at one of you lot and say "HIM"
BTW...............

Cheers for the offer but one of the lads at work is going to to do it for me when i get the laptop from back home. It didnt end up in a bath just thrown across a room and out of the window[i live on the 1st floor].

Riiiiiiight! Thats quite a bit of punishment! I had to dismantle one that had no screen once, but the body hadn't suffered that much. I won't ask....!

Looks good Chris, although i dont think some of the picture pages are displaying right in IE7 (pictures stacking sideways requiring a lot of sideways scroll, i assume they should be down?).
Can someone elaborate on "mishap" with regards to Matt's RS2000, did i see somewhere that it had something to do with churchy.....!?

No, Churchy didn't break it. The Nurburgring broke it. IE7's gay - use a real web browser. lol
(I'll look into it...)

This was very well put tho!........

My fault for not doing a little bit for it Chris.
Adam Nash 24, been coming to the Norffolk meets since July 2005. Owned my 2wd saph E22 LCK since 15th of June 2006 and it if was first registed on the 28th of March 1988. Car took 18months to get it the way i wanted, then in a moment of madness decided to break it only for me to change my mind. Car is surrently under going a full restoration including respray. Engine spec will be as it was last time T4, Greys, live Mapped by Ahmed, and runs 2bar of boost.

I'm liking it so far chris, are you planning on going into more detail on peoples cars? As in spec, story etc....?

Yep. There will be a more in depth part so you can go into a bit more detail. Has anyone else looked at the other regional group's websites?
