Just a small update as Saphy is away at Grove should be finished early next week, have been kept busy though helping paul with a few bits on his FRS. As i am running a mirror image breather tank i cant fit an airbox, so i needed to sort some thing out to try and keep the heat off the turbo away from the air filter. I knocked up a template in card board and took it down work shops and got this back. I am going to cover one side in cool it tape [Cheers Richie/B9 KOS] and have ago at fitting it as soon as the cars back. Its very simple idea but should work. Paul also has an Apexi for his FRS, so we have been reading up on how to fit it and are going [i say we but that means paul as i am shit at electrics so i will be the helping hands] to have ago at fitting it to his this weekend. Then we will do mine when i get car back. One thing i am still struggling with is where to take wheel speed from as my abs is disconected i am not sure if there will still be a signal i can use, anyone got any ideas? EDIT sorted that bit now. Last thing is i got some new polish for old girl as it needs a good going over before the shows. I will be ordering some more bits next week in the shape of some hoses off Roose, Thermo sleeve, and some heat wrap. Random shot of all Hangar 15 Tunning cars together

Im still overcome with jealousy about that workshop/ hanger, i could have had my car done by now if i had facilities like that. let me know how you get on with that polish as i am considering using meguiars instead of auto glym.

Matt i used to use Auto Glym then went over to Meguires. Theres alot better than those 2, its just you dont hear of them much. Poorboys and Collinite are superb but you need the right polish for your paint. The best person to talk to is Gaz7 off RSOC bb, he defo knows his stuff and after i saw how Pauls came up last year after using it i would defo ask his advice. Steve i love that XR2 belongs to a good mate of mine and Pauls. Pretty good fast road/track day engine setup aswell. New pipes have been ordered off Roose as like the quality over Samco stuff. Also i won this off the bay last night for a superb price:

Beats an egg Matt. Update on car. I should have picked her up Thursday but being my Saph nothings that simple. To cut a very long story short theres a few electrical gremins, which means the old girl doesnt want to run. Mark thinks its either the alarm or the loom, i have got to ring up on Wednesday and see how its going. Not looking good for APT RR day either I am just hoping i have her back for Central day now. Probably wont have time to fit any of my new gucci bits which is a pain in the arse but never mind.

Cheers Daz and Steve.
I wont give up on Sunday untill Saturday night. If i can get her there she will be, dont even care if i dont have time to wash her.
Steve as for power anything starting with a 4 on APT's Rollers would be good.

Update time [second time i have written this lost it first time :cry2: ] Right Mark phonned me tonight [he woke me up was having a kip  ] Turns out the problem was the wiring to the ignition amp was fucked. Someone at some stage has rewired it for what ever reason and hadn't insulated it properly, this has let water in and knackered all the wiring to the amp  Mark said water sarted running out when he was unwrapping it thats how bad it was  Mark also said they had wired it up wrong :wall: Why do people mess with things they dont understand :? My old man said to me once that 'A car is only as good as the person who owned it before you'. Seems like i have spent since June sorting out other people short cuts and fuck ups. If any of the pervious owners ever read this and did those bodge jobs i have a present for you. :fuck: Anyway Its now running on the L8 with a base map. Ahmed is Mapping all day on the dyno tomoro so Marks going to get all the other bits sorted. They are hoping to map her on Wednesday and then i will pick her up asap. Fingers X for me everyone, i am hoping she will be at Central day on Sunday. I Know its taken longer than i thought. Felt a bit of a shit and i wouldnt have dropped it off with them if i had known about the loom problem, but i really cant thank Mark and Ahmed enough for sorting the old girl for me :faintthud: Also got some new hoses from Roose: Water: Filter to turbo and Turbo to IC: Also have my new steering wheel to fit which i will do after Central day as its at home. It will just be nice to get her back tbh, needs a bloody good buftying. Next step is take her down to APT and see what she does on there rollers.
