I thought you'd say "This is an outrage!"

I found some pics of S1s that had the cross over pipe crossing over the other direction.  DOn't know if that helps.  S1 engines had turbos that weren't water cooled - S2 ones were water cooled.

Churchy you ARE wrong. Im sure you are thinking of Christian's car and intake, in which case he uses an RS1600i intake (i think).  icon_scratch Arguing cussing

Cheers Matt, i'm still very pleased with it........... its not been set up yet tho  Grin

Small update with the oil leak tho, Craig fitted a new sump gasket in the hope that would cure the problem as it seems to be coming from that area, but sadly, its still dripping  Head v Brick Wall ...... its not a lot and only does it after its had a good run and the oil is thinner etc but its still a pain in the aRSe!!

.... I've booked it into the local Ford for next week to see what they can do, its gonna be steam cleaned underneath and then they'll let it run and try and identify where the leak is coming from!

... so we shall see  occasion14

No it is not!!!  Wink To this day i still can't believe that they did that to my car, i mean if anything had had happened to my pride and joy, they'd have been proper for it!!!!!!!

The gutting thing is that i never took it to Pertwees down the Quey, i took it to Gapton where i know a few of the lads who work there!!! It was them who took it down the quey for the exhaust to be fitted, and then it was ragged around.... all without my knowledge   Head v Brick Wall

Good job i've got friends in the right places to tell me Wink

I cant begin to imagine how much that must have cost. Not only the hours put in, but some replacement parts aren't even avail from Ford anymore, and if they are, they're stupidly priced! Amazing tho

I've read that the guy is quite obsessive about that car, it only comes out in the dry and that isn't very often. APPARENTLY coming back from a show, he got caught in rain and was so devastated, he took it straight to the body shop where he works, 'baked' it to dry it through and then stripped, cleaned, and rebuild it!!!!!  Shocked

Thats taking things way to far imo, i mean keep it nice, but it was built to be driven!!!!!

I know what you mean mate, but it looks like it was worth the trip!!  Grin

It APPEARS the leak is now sorted (we'll see how it goes over the next few days), it was the rocker cover gasket that was leaking and the rocker cover was slightly out of alignment....... so thats been a adjusted, a new gasket fitted and it looks like thats job done!!  occasion14
