Had a blowout on my offside rear Monday afternoon - not a huge one, but enough to make the car skip.  Bummer.

Couldn't be bothered jacking it up only to drop it again, so limped up to Sainsburys and stuck 30psi in it.  6 hours later, it was all gone.  Stuck the spare on and was sat pondering which body parts I don't need so that I can buy some Toyo Proxes or something similar.

Anyways, (here comes bonus number 1 Cheesy ) Had to trip down to the Transport building for work today, which is just beyond my local tyre dealer.  Parked outside, jacked up, was a black RS500 - a genuine one too! Cheesy    On the way back, thought I'd drop in and see how much they're after for a pair of tyres - might as well change the pair.  Know the guy there, he used to have a Magenta Saff Cosworth.  He points at the 500 and says "Now there's a proper Cossie!"

After a bit of a chat and RS discussion, it was down to business...here comes bonus number 2...

He wanted ?47 each for two tyres, fair enough, he says "how bad are they?"

"One's OK, the other's blown out"

"Your're in luck my friend!!"

"I happen to have here, 1 barely used (still has the yellow chalk marks on it) 205/50/15 - ?20 cash, and I'll fit it for ya too!"

So, four beer tokens later, I have a fitted tyre that's not flat!  Two bonuses in the same hour!! Cheesy

CLose enough I think, but it'll tie me over for a bit until I can afford a pair...better than lugging around a flat in the boot! Cheesy
