What fun and games we had!

For those interested in the technical information, the 4x4 has a 25% larger intercooler.  I'll put some pics up shortly.  The 4x4 intercooler is deeper than the 2wd one, which meant that it wouldn't go in the same way as the old one came out, ie, easily.

I also now have to either chop my original boost hoses, or find some 4x4 ones, because the 4x4 intercooler is deeper.

On top of the intercooler is a sticker noting that adjustment of the ignition by twisting the dizzy is a no-no, the CO is not adjustable (thanks to the L8), and that the plug gaps are wider; 0.8 - 1.05mm as opposed to the 0.7mm gap on the 2wd.  Anyone know why that is?  Given that the standard 2wd made no more boost than the 4x4...

I've just been out for a spin - put the right shape boost hoses on (with a bit of KY Wink ) and my Cossie chattered all the way Afro

I love chatter! Grin  All I could think of was rally Cosworths chattering around the countryside sideways! lol

The throttle body one needed a special method to get it in, involving KY Jelly, and ignorance Wink

CO is theoretically adjustable on the L8 via the usual white pot on the front
but the lambda enabled ones with the green sticker shouldn't be adjusted after they leave the factory unless you know what you're doing as the software could try and correct it back
4x4 boost was 1 or 2 psi higher along with other improvements to give 220bhp as opposed to 204

I'm afraid it's had to go back on...

The throttle response is so much better with it on. Smiley
