I paid Matt for the tickets at the march meet. I can see your reasons for displaying your car on the fast ford stand (when it's working Tongue) and I would do the same in that position (if my car was good enough for the fast ford stand Cry ). I look forward to having a chat at the next meet  Smiley  We can discuss the colour of wheels Crying

There's no discussion to be had.  Gold wheels are gay on a white car. Tongue

Ace thanks - update arriving tomorrow, I'll chuck in some pictures too

Good on ya - Norfolk folk need pictures. Crying

And in the words of Meatloaf: I'll do anything for the club, Mike.  But I won't do 'that' Gay

An interesting thread, and its encouraging to see that people are still bothered about the club   Smiley

I have been attending the Norfolk Group meets since about year 2000 ish when I got my red Escort RS Turbo, which was later passed on to my brother when I got my Saph.  Up until recently I religiously attended the monthly meets, as well as Central Day, National Day, and back in the day, Trax, Bowling nights, 'Wagon & Horses' meets and also the Norfolk / Suffolk Group meets in Scole.  So can remember the 30 odd car high speed convoys we used to have on the way to shows , which sadly doesn’t happen anymore.

Unfortunately due to personal commitments, my attendance to the meets and shows has become limited these days, and with the ever increasing number of things to do outside work, even writing an article has just not happened.  In fact, there is still a long list of jobs to do to my car which haven't happened either and the only show I am able to attend this year was Central Meet at the Pod.

I suppose you can always find the time to write an article if you really put your mind to it, and it’s not that I simply don't care, but when you only get a small amount of time to chill / do what you want for yourself in the course of the week, spending yet more time sitting at a computer tapping away, often finds its way fairly low down the list.  Of course, I appreciate that Mike, Chris, Jo and others do put that that task at the top of their things to do each month and I must thank them for that   notworthy

I was at the last meet and as Mike says, the Norfolk Group attendance was fairly low, especially compared to how many Vauxhall boys there were.  I am also guilty of not speaking to a single one of them, but I got engrossed in a conversation with other members and by the time we finished chatting they had gone.  When they bother to come along it certainly doesn’t look good that very few people bother to talk to them.  Can’t think they will feel inclined to come along again.

I would like to be more involved in the club but honestly find it hard to juggle everything else that is going on at the moment.  Hopefully when things settle down and I have more time on my hands I will at least be able to do my bit, and furnish Mike with articles on hydraulic clutch conversions, track days and intercooler fitting that he was due god knows how many months ago, hopefully the club will keep going long enough for that to happen.
