The Vauxhall boys and girls will be in attendance, so perhaps we could have a good show of cars?

That is all Wink.

Like a morgue in here - has the norfolk RS Scene DIED?!

So, who went to this? Can anyone fill in us who couldn't? Was it good? Was my article in the newsletter?!  Afro

I got a 75 litre parts washer this week which will be endlessly useful i think, somw pop out rear quarter windows with the trim, and a heated windscreen. Been busy collecting parts!

Get your arse along to the next one Crying

I went, I think the Vauxhall boys outnumbered us, which lately, isn't hard to be honest!  I think there were more Fords provided by the pub's customers than by us!  I don't think it was our finest hour to be fair.  We've had better.

Congrats on the parts washer - I'm sure them missus will be glad to get her washing machine and dishwasher back. thumbsup

Seeing i live 130 miles away, and will be going to my local RSOC next month, i figure my obligations to Norfolk group are lacking somewhat with regards to attending Chris!!!

Problem with a parts washer is the solvent - it's about 4 times the price of fuel. Ah well. With the weather the way it is, I'm not missing the fact that my RS is SORN. Wouldn't be coming out in this thats for sure!!

Excuses excuses lol

Problem is dude, that even those that are 13 miles away don't seem to fussed about coming either.  Don't get me wrong, I accept that people have other commitments which can and do take precedence, and we still have like a hardcore massive Crying who go to every meet, but lately it seems that there's a larger proportion of the group that can't be arsed.

How come it costs so much?

btw, add cosworthchris to your PSN Wink

Was talking to Steve at FITP about lack of attendance lately. Big shame I think.

I would come, but I am a bit of a distance away!

I cant help but wonder if that's because half the group dont seem to have any interest in any other car's but their own, which are normally in a workshop or garage 24/7, and the other half that do show a real interest are too far away to make it economicial to come every month. Mainly cause they'd rather spend that £50 fuel money on a new piece of car, then sit in a pub with a bunch of unapproachable people. Can't say i blame them.

Take a list of regular member's Postcodes and propose a new more central location maybe........

Just a thought.

Which is fair enough.  But to be fair, I expect you'd spend three hours choosing which car to bring Crying

What do you have in the collection at the moment anyway? Been a while since I asked!

I may try and make a meet before the summer is out. August was usually the bigger meet wasn't it? May be able to make that. Though my RS may be off the road by then  Head v Brick Wall

Ha ha, i second that!

Hijacked Thread - Bought a nice big alloy intercooler yesterday (Airtech if anyone is interested). Figured i needed to work out what needs cutting and moving BEFORE the body gets dipped and sprayed. I really dont want to cut up the bumper but it seems increasingly nessessary if you want big power on a FRS. Gotta somehow fit Rad, Intercooler, PAS Rad, and Oil cooler into its little nose, while pulling it all forward as the T3 needs some space  Crying

I have been to a couple of meets now and to be honest i can't see the point in going. I'm not the only one either, I know of a few people who have been and said that when they went no one spoke to them and they were looked upon as they were from another planet. I can see what they mean. I have been to just about every show over the last 5 yrs and I could probably count the number of people I've spoken to on half a hand. Turn up to a show and set the stand up no one speaks to you. People look at you like "what the fuck you doing on OUR stand". Only person I really spoke to I don't even know his name ( oldish chap with mercury grey saff ) comes over just about every show to have a chat.

One member on here was at a show sitting in their car when another rsoc group came round looking at the cars and asked where everyone was. His reply was everyone parks their cars then fucks off. The other group were shocked by this and invited the member along to their meet.

Norfolk RSOC is like if you ain't in THE MAGIC CIRCLE then you ain't welcome. I have lots of friends who been to a meet ONCE and all said they never go again cos it's full of stuck up pricks who are unapproachable and up each others arses

I am not saying everyone is like that at the club but I would defo say the majority. People on the forum used to be nice and talkative but you go to a meet and it's the opposite

Rant over thankyou please come again Grin
