The morettes may yet be sold, as I got them cheap. Though if you don't like them, you won't like the other changes I've been toying with Tongue

Oh you'd hate it I'm sure lmao. Very tempting though, especialy after who I met on Saturday!

I fixed the driver's mirror today, as it was broken. Used a mirror from my girlfriend's old GTI and built it into my casing but with electric components, so that's another thing off the list.

Still got misfire issues though Sad

**Updated 2nd May 2011**

Well, the old bucket is still plodding along! Still got a mystery misfire that I can't bloody find  Roll Eyes Tried different plugs, different lambda sensors and it's still doing it!

Anyway, there was a bit of vibration at speed going on. It needed new tyres anyway, and I fear one of the wheels was a bit out of shape, so I've bought it a present  Grin

Will be on by FITP, along with a slight suspension drop Smiley

Wheels fitted!

Had a trip up to a friend's yesterday and we gave it some abuse to sort a few issues. Oil pump was removed and given a check over as I was wondering about some oil issues. Was stripped and checked and all seems ok there, so that's ticked off. Oil and filter were changed again too.

We also fitted the poly bush lower arms I bought for it, as well as new ball joints. Finally, we tackled the exhaust as it was knocking on the rear chassis leg. One modified hanger has solved that, which has improved things.

We did try and fit some lowering springs, but once I got them out of the box, it became pretty clear they were wrong, so that was a bit of a disaster, so I'm stuck at standard height for now!

Progress though  Grin

Progress indeed, but once it's lowered you'll curse yourself every time you park it near a kerb, or find a slight undulation in the road surface lol

**Updated 9th June 2011**

Not a huge update. It still won't run properly. It's running rich, and still playing up now and again. I have a list of things to try, but it's all money sadly.

Anyway, outside the usual rubbish with it, I have been thinking. I'd like to make it a bit quicker really, and improve the handling slightly. So, as engine modifying is an expensive business, I've decided, just for a bit of fun, that I'm going to put it on a bit of a diet over the next few months  Grin

This will involve some changes of course. Some obvious, some far less obvious. But, I thought I'd start small this afternoon, and I've saved myself a WHOLE 1.036kg  Afro Can you guess how?

There will be more to come over the next few weeks on this front, some of it a little more drastic than what I did today  Grin
