they fit on there fine my bro had them on his escos rep but they looked really funny cos they sat in too far the tyres are all good but i never put good make tyres (nankang ditchfinders at the mo) on the back cos they don't last very long

got all the brakes done today just need to bleed them with some new fluid and thats the brakes sorted should be able to stop now me and wayne will take the engine down to joe saturday morning, but i'm undecided on the spec. i originally wanted 400+bhp but the diff, clutch and gearbox won't like the extra power when its driven hard(most the time ) also i think the lesser spec will be more reliable and if the petrol prices reach what they say next year i don't think i'll be wanting to fill it up every other day either after having a chat last night with wayne i think i'll go for a similar spec as to what i've already got, just add a few little touches. i shall have a word with joe saturday and decide on the spec. when i get back i'll let you know what i've gone for maybe fit the diff

decided to overhaul the whole engine while its out. joe is going to ring me once its stripped down and inspected for any wear on things such as shells and guides. once thats done we'll decide on the full spec. it will be something like standard comp pistons with valve cut out, 10 long studs, wrc gaskets, bd14 inlet cam, t34.48, greens then mapped on engine dyno.

big change in plans happening now, f939bnt is being stripped for parts the shell is not in a bad state but could do with a lick of paint and after a long hard think for the last couple of weeks i've decided to put my nice shiney new engine in something else ideally an escort cosworth shell but thats out of price range at the min so a suitable car has been found and considering it is mint and quite rare i feel i have got a very good deal. once i have picked it up (probably next weekend) i will post some pics and the fun will then begin i will start stripping bnt of all the parts i'll be needing at the weekend so i can get that out the way. if you know of anyone in need of a shell i don't want alot for it and it is mot'd until april and is still taxed Billy

Engine looks good mate. What's that shell then? Shame the Saph is being broken though! Ready to sell those wheels yet?

the shell is my mates mk1 golf gti. he is stripping it for bare metal respray then its being fitted with audi tt bam engine will be running aftermarket management and will be kicking out roughly 300 horses when we were younger he said he'd have an escos before he was 25, that never happened cos he loved the vauxhall crap too much. but he has seen the error of his ways now and ( i will hold him to this ) he said once the mk1 is finished and used for the summer it will be sold to fund the next project which will be 'buy an escort cosworth shell and build one from scratch' now thats a good idea

i push it out at the weekend and take some pics for you the 2 front tyres are kumho ku31's very good tread, the rears are nankang ditchfinders with good tread and the spare has got a good tyre as well. i also have 2 part worn tyres at my uncles tyre garage what are part worn which will go with the wheels. i'm looking for around £400 which i think is a reasonable price for 5 alloys and 7 good tyres

started on the new shell saturday. well wayne started it and by the time i finished pissing about with the white saff he'd done most of it we stripped all the underside to see what the floor pan was like and was quite surprised to find only one small hole at the back of the sill. this was repaired by the time i got back from meeting daz, wayne had already reundersealed it and got the car back down again onto the trolley so didn't get any pics. my mate karl (bush) came round today and had a look at the bodywork. i am having a full respay in mercury grey again as its quite a rare colour and was told the rsoc only has 1 or 2 mercury cars on the register. the engine bay is being smoothed of all unneeded holes. all the running gear when removed from BNT will be blasted and painted before fitting to DKE. which brings me to the point, i have gone from being BeNT to a DyKE as my brother kindly pointed out

started taking BNT apart today. was a sad day then i found this i got all the dash removed today while wingy attacked the front end. the next part will be removing all the interior and giving it a clean. the boot carpets have been through the washing machine already and came out ok. i am still undecided what to do interior wise in the new car do i leave it standard but with subtle touches (A pillar gauges etc) or do that plus get some light grey bucket seats to match the rears or leave the dash and door cards in but with safety devices rollcage bucketseats and harnesses no rear seats let me know what you think

New shell looks tidy mate, pretty clean underneath. Certainly don't see many in Mercury Grey either, bit different to the norm. I'd keep the inside pretty standard myself, think buckets could be annoying if you use the car a lot. You have PM about the wheels too

last night started the minor repairs. the nsr arch lip was starting to go so wayne cut out the rust and welded a new bit in. also the rear of the sill had started to go so this was repaired as well i made a start filling all the unused holes in the inner arches also decided to get rid of the spot weld marks on the slam panel here is a pic of the underside

gotta say big thanks to wayne we got the white car stripped today to a bare shell wangers's mate came and picked the wheels up so that means i will be going to get the paint next saturday. then hopefully have the new shell will be painted the week after. the old shell was in a bad state, alot worse than i expected. the inner sills were shot both sides, passenger seat mount nearly non existent and the boot floor behind the side panels were a mix of filler and rot i will try get some pics tomorrow

thats ok buddy i hadn't got them off yet when your mate turned up i think he was shocked how quick we stripped the car i don't think he believed me when i told him the car was basicly whole in the morning, when he got there there was only suspension wheels and front rear beams left on the shell
