Could everyone who has not already given me their address please give it to me at the meet tomorrow or IM/email it to me so i can post your tickets onto you.

I had a good day too, despite my knackered exhaust clamp!

Compared to where we usually get put, it was a bit grotty...I expect I wasn't the only one worrying about ground clearance issues!

If anyone else agrees with Wayne, please pipe up so we can pass your comments onto the organisers. thumbsup

Not impressed at all with our stand yesterday to be honest but it was still a really good show, none the less and a good time was had Smiley

.............. that was my 7th Ford Fair tho and the last time the Norfolk Group stand was that side of the bridge was 2005 when the stand was on the grass. That was one year when i was on a different stand. Usually as most will know, the local group stands are on the huge tarmaced bit next to where the cars for sale usually are. Last year i noticed tho that half this area was full of ST's and the RSOC had to share the area and this year we were dumped the other side of the bridge on all the gravel and shingle crap............... it took me 2 laps of that area over the loose rubble to actually spot the stand when we arrived lol!

not happy with the stand space we were allocated. the stand looked prety good for the amount of space we were given so top marks for trying to make it look at least respectable. but would be nice to get the rsoc groups all together again for next year. it just seemed like the organiser had just really put the map of the site on a dart board and took shots to see where the groups would be located as it looked a bit of a shambles really.

I have made a note of all of your comments and will pass them on.  thumbsup

Personally i was pleased to see that the layout of the show had changed a bit. It gets a bit boring when you know a show before you arrive.
The gravel was a bit of a downer, but i think the variety of cars that we had on the stand more than made up for it, and so i think did all the people flocking over to see a certain car on our stand Cheesy

I agree with that I think. It's nice there was some variety in a way. I think an interesting way to do it would be to have all the RSOC groups on that side (on the grass though) for a year, then have other clubs in the middle. It would mix it up a bit, and probably get people moving around the show a bit more. People tend to miss out the area between the two bridges as they just head straight to the in-field to go round the trade area and all the RS stands. Having a swap around would mean that the smaller clubs would get some recognition as people floated around the concourse and trade areas (it is FORD Fair after all, not RS/ST Fair), and people would then be more inclined to look in the area over the bridge as that's where all the RSOC/STOC stands would be.

Our stand did look excellent though this year, forgot to mention that............ good variety of cars and what was the first thing you could see when walking over the bridge and looking left? The blue flags Grin

Way ahead of you Cheesy

Already have some leaflets in the pipeline, they should be ready to be given out at the next meet and also for The Norfolk Gala.
Spoke to Emma Wicks regarding the Marquee/Gazebo, but to get one through the RSOC costs over 2K! So i am surfing the net for one.
Any one find any they think are suitable post them here for us all to see Smiley

New flag poles were discussed at the last meet and are also in the pipeline, not sure i can get them before The Norfolk Gala but i will have a good try.

Hello It was good to see members helping with the setting up of the Stand at Ford Fair. I think this really helped prevent the car park syndrome that we seem to get all to frequently. Lets hope this is the beginning of a turn around. Funky Banana

Hi all

had a good show. Good mix of car and track action and the weather held out.

As with every one else our stand was not in a great location but we still had a good display, Daves RS500 would have brought alot of attention to our stand.

Brilliant idea. It was very sturdy and had more than enough room. We can get a new one for the same price  Funky Banana
