You've probably already seen a couple of pictures of my XR3i but I thought I may aswell start a new thread on it.

I got it as a px against my black S2 RS Turbo even though I didn't intend on getting another Escort. The overall condition of the car is pretty good although it has had a bit of a dodgy history...  It has had Ziebart treatment and I believe it's been stored somewhere for some reason (possibly after it was stolen  Shocked ).   None of this bothers me as the current state the car is in is better than the vast majority of D plate Escorts.

When I got the car it was standard except for the fitment of some 40mm lowering springs.

As you can see Alfi my border collie likes the XR3i too  Grin

After Craig E gave the car a decent clean up I thought I'd finally put into use the cossie lattice wheels I had sitting about...

Thats as far as it's got so far but plans include a Zetec conversion (possibly on bike carbs), sorting out the rear arches and getting the roof resprayed satin black, refurbishing the wheels and a couple of bits and pieces to the interior.

It's too tempting to do quite a bit to this but as I've still got Darrens old white H plate S2 to do I'll have to resist and divert my funds to that (if I ever work out what I want to do with it  Head v Brick Wall )

Get the 4x4 system off a 4x4 Mondeo or RS2000 and stick that on it - an Escort RST with 4x4 that's not wearing half of an unlucky Sapphire Cosworth for underpants. Wink

There's another option for 4x4 transmission that I've thought about  Wink

Look at that shine i gave it.............................The paint weren't that bad tbh, a few small marks and swirls (which you could machine polish out) but not really that faded, well not by the time i had finished.

Glad i could help.
