Well its that time again.  As my Mk1 has done between 800-1600 miles a year for the last three I'm thinking of shopping around for a company that will give a good price for such situation, but also cover all modifications.  So who do any of you guys use who have RS 'ornaments'!!?   Grin

Mine's done about 300 mines in 7 months before Santa Pod last Sunday, so that should count lol

Admiral gave a good quote to me that i went for BUT............. its a standard car, so not sure if that helps. Could be worth a try tho! Wink

Most of the 'high street' insurers will decline a quote if you say it's modified....

And, if you do make a claim (this applies to those of us with older models), they'll just write it up as an F reg Sierra, for example, and they'll treat it as such, regardless of the RS badge.

I'd be flicking through the back pages of Fast Ford or Performance Ford for some ideas.  Don't be forgetting Boncaster with the RSOC either. Wink

I always used to get mine through HIC (now part of Adrian Flux) as they seemed to be significantly cheaper than everyone else and also provided good cover including agreed values, limited mileage, protected no claims, track cover and were mod friendly.

Didnt seem to want to touch the focus though, so now with Boncaster

Cheers for the input guys.  occasion14 I have gone with Boncaster with added bonus over my old policy of 3000 limited miles (went abit higher incase it goes on a Ring trip within the next year!), european breakdown, track cover on RSOC events (albeit with high excess) and at £338.40 is £150 cheaper than the renewal with my current insurer! I must be getting old!  Embarrassed   Grin

How did you get it so cheap mate?

Mine was £520 last June (at 25 with 8 years no claims) with less mods... you must be older than i thought!  Grin

The Mileage does make a difference, im still with Adrian Flux, 3000 miles per year, all mods declared........ £492

Boncaster couldn't get close.

Just out of interest Nath what insurance group is the FRS?
