Think we have 2 or 3 different options as respects to which flywheel to get. As I understand it, we can use the one we have, and just re drill the holes, and face it. Not sure.

Maybe we should tap Tabetha up for some knowlage Wink

The deal is we need a trigger for the crank position sensor to pick up its signal from. The Mondeo flywheel has one (obviously) but the face of the fly wheels is too thick. Thus machining the mondeo item. The xr3i flywheel has no trigger (MFi) But could we make one Huh?? The Fiesta EFi flywheel has the trigger and is the right thickness all that needs doing is the fixing hole that secure it to the crank need drilling out by 0.5mm.

So the Fiesta flywheel is the one we want as it is the least work, but unfortunatly we have to pay for it. The one thats on Ebay looks good, we just need to make sure its the one we want, ( with the correct trigger). Perhaps as long as its not too expensive we can split the cost between us?

I think its the flywheel from the 1600 EFi CVH Fiesta we need, and if the mondeo item is anything to go by the trigger is just a series of holes equally spaced around the outside of the flywheel on the rear , then at TDC there are two holes joined up to make a slot, this is the point at which the sensor gets its signal.

Have i confused you all? Good.   Keep an eye on it for us Chris Smiley

He's either hoping to add RS tax, or he's breaking/broken/upgraded a Fiesta RS Turbo.  It's listed as 220mm, diameter I'm guessing, and FRSTs are 1.6s, aren't they?

That one has three groups of 3 holes drilled around it, with what appears to be a different marking near the top of the picture.

It sound to me to be the right one, but we need to ask nicely to see a close up photo of the back of it to make sure. as from the front they all look the same to me.

After my almighty cockup with the Fiesta flywheel, I've found this:

It's of a Mark 5 RS2000 - any good?
