Had an awesome time at the Ring last weekend, got another 24 laps under my belt and was really flying!  The Mk2 is simply awesome on track out of the box, the grip through and out of corners is something else!  Anyhow, thought I'd share a selection of the pics, but after spending 6-7hrs trauling the net for track shots yesterday (found 88 of mine Cheesy ) I can't be arsed to do all the img tags, so have a browse through the following link!!! The next time I go, it will be to go on the ring. Wink

How does the Mk2 compare to the Mk1?

Yeah, must say I agree with you there Steve, CSLs are an awesome bit of kit. When I was last at Donington there was a few of them, really moving, giving 911 GT3 RS' loads of grief!

How's your dad getting on with his M3?

Cheers guys!  occasion14  I wish I was there again now, no UK track day ever compares, very boring in comparison!  Anyhow, yes got the Pro Cooler fitted, comparing the two cars is a bit like picking a favourite child, if you've got any that is!  I must say the Mk2 is as good, maybe better in terms of grip, pretty unreal for FWD.  Its very responsive/torquey BUT doesn't have the raw pace of the Mk1, the old girl is a weapon in comparison.  That being said, I have an issue with my chip as Dads Mk2 is all over mine in a straight line, noticeably quicker both as a passenger and next to each other on the road.   Head v Brick Wall  When we had the chips done mine had some ECU upgrade which the Bluefin wouldn't over-right so Superchips had to make me a new map there & then, but its not boosting as much as Dads on the gauge or as aggressively.   Huh? Roll Eyes Head v Brick Wall

Anyhow, I'm thinking of turning the Mk1 into more of a hardcore track car now maybe?!

As for the E30, I agree, gorgeous, there's always some nice E30s there and that was a really nice example, tbh the pic doesn't do it justice.   Cool  And I LOVE the CSL also, is a proper stripped out racer and was flying!  Cool

Sounds good Nath....... are you getting the map/boost looked at again? Smiley

How's your dad getting on with his M3?

He loves it mate, and is always outside cleaning it lol! Its the fastest car i've personally driven by a mile, especially when the naughty 'sport' button is pressed....... extremely well put together and very pricise in everyway. Typically German you may say! thumbsup

Dave was saying about how much the F1 end of the cicuit has changed, i see what he means now, totally unrecognisable.

You didn't use your full 25 lap ticket then....... Oh well thats an excuse to go back again i suppose.

I miss it too and will have to pull my finger out and buy yet another car to take over there. Not sure on weather to get a Puma or RS2000, both reliable ( ? ) and fairly nippy, but also very cheap.
