My new toy...

Well, as I couldn't make this months meet I thought I'd better put some pics up!!
Words say it all..... lol
I've managed to keep it quiet for well over a year since its been on order and I've now had it for just over 3 weeks, typically mine had to be one of the last of the first batch to arrive!
It's just done over a thousand miles so I'm starting to nail it and I have to say I absolutely love it!!! It's already Bluefinned (was booked in before it arrived lol) and has a K&N replacement filter, 340bhp/400lb/ft.
I'm off to the Ring in 3 weeks so will really see how it performs.
Whilst I was at it I couldn't resist taking a few pics of my two beasts together, especially as I've just put the Mk 1 away and it possibly won't come out again untill its running more power and has an underside restoration and new suspension setup.

Cheers Steve!
Its got the Bluetooth/iPod/USB, part leather seats & Lux pack 1, which is everything apart from Sat Nav & reversing camera.
As for the plate, yes it is a nice touch, don't know if it will remain spaced that way though as some twat of a copper already pulled me on the A14 & gave me a £60 fine and has taken photos to send to the DVLA. Turns out he drives an ST Focus so really has let the side down, jealous dick.

Nice one Nath
you certainly kept that quiet, brother's got some catching up now in the power department now, would be interesting to see the difference between his standard one and yours, good luck at the ring don't bend the motor, would love to get round there my self one day.

WTF!!! i can't believe you've been pulled for that, it maybe slightly spaced but its the standard, 100% legal font and can be easily read.......... sounds like a complete ****, theres so many cars driving round with totally illegal plates and he pulls you

Lovely cars, but that copper must be having a complete laugh. Like Steve says, there are *Countless* saxos and the like belting about with italic plates and all that. Jealous indeed......

This is true, there are worse plates out there, but to be fair, Nath's is still illegal, so the copper was within his rights. All about those stupid ANPR things now sadly!

Cheers guys.
Fran, yes the chip seems to have made a big difference dispite not really nailing mine before it was chipped, it was still noticeable straight away! As for the Ring, you should come along one time, its always a great weekend for the driving and beers/company!
As for the plates, yes he was completely in his rights as they are illegal, however, I still think he's a twat, as said they're not unreadable italics etc!

It's pot luck with traffic coppers - also depends on how good a day they're having.
