I came home today to find that some f**king scumbag has robbed two of the jacking point covers off the Mondeo. The one from the rear bumper and the driver's side rear one (as there are two on each side skirt).......... and you know the worst thing of all?? It was done on our own driveway in broad daylight as i bike to work and leave the car at home Head v Brick Wall

They obviously just took what they needed, left the rest and fooked off............ seriously hacked off as they not only took them, but they cut them off too so i now have the remains of the plastic ties (that help to stop them falling off and being lost forever) hanging out of the holes and it looks awful............ FFS!!!

Keep an eye on ebay. Wink  The fuckwits might've nicked them to make a few quid.

Or it might just be kids being c***s - take a look around the surrounding area, particularly in hedges - you might get lucky if they've nicked them and dumped them "for a laugh".

This is the problem with living in the ghetto Steve Sad

Trouble is, there are soo many st200's around Yarmouth, they could be for any one of them! Saw another 3 yesterday, and estate, a hatchback, and a saloon.

I'm with you on this - Dont piss with another mans car. It's as bad as those pricks that think "key'ing" a car is big and clever. Grrrr. I feel for you steve, bad times mate, especially after someone took the fog surrounds a while back.

Question is - when you replace them (which i assume is a given), how does one fix them or secure them to stop them being stolen again (which again, is probably a given)

Already been on the phone and ordered the replacements from Ford............ one jacking point cover for the side skirt and one towing eye cover for the rear bumper with imperial blue paint and laquer and once again i'm out of pocket by around £40.......... just like fog light surrounds  Head v Brick Wall

Theres nothing on eBay btw and i'd rather have new ones anyway  Smiley

Yep, thats very true mate......... there IS loads around now, i take back my comment of never seeing another one lol! Thing is, they are getting very cheap now for what they are and the ropey ones are almost give-a-ways so lets just say the 'undesirables' seem to be buying them and helping themselves to bits  Read the Effing Manual

Theres a nice bloke driving round in a W reg hatch like mine who stopped and had a chat when i was outside cleaning my 200 one day and we were talking for ages. Other than that, theres a few hatches and the estate but haven't seen the saloon yet thumbsup

Why not hide a big hairy spider behind each one ( there's plenty of space) that would surprise them.

Or more seriously a fake CCTV camera on the house pointing at the cars.

Steve i had this on mine, I might have a spare at home i will send you if i can find it.

I got sneaky after mine were stolen. I never used the jacking points behind them so i super glues a Razor blade to the bottom on the inside[where you hook your finger to pull them off], and then super glues the covers onto the side skirts. Only problem is i forgot to tell the lad i sold it to so hope he hasnt chopped his fingers off!

Set of microswitches attached to the door/boot open loop on the alarm. That'd do for the fiesta too. Just get em good and tight onto the cover, so they only open if the cover is fully removed. ALso switch them internally so you can deavtivate them yourself. It'd be tempted to do that. Works well for door handles too incase someone tries the handle with the alarm armed. Just fiddly to fit
